Hartfield Swish Top Entrance Gates are manufactured on-site in Crestala's workshop by our skilled Gatemakers, enabling us to make gates that will fit and look good on the end of your driveway. These tongue-and-groove-boarded gates are robust and offer very good value for your money.

We can make special widths and heights.

Materials:

All Hartfield entrance gates manufactured by Crestala are robust yet offer excellent value for money. The timber used is pressure-treated, joinery-grade, slow-growing Scandinavian redwood. The treatment provides good protection against rot and insect attacks. *Measurements before the wood is planed. It’s roughly 5mm smaller than the original size.

Hartfield swish-top gates are heavy and need to be supported by good solid posts or brick piers. If you have existing posts, please check them for security before fitting your new gates.

Gate fittings for all the different sizes of Hartfield gates are available. We recommend using an adjustable hinge set to support our heavy-frame gates. If you are unsure which type or size of hinge you need for your gates, please ask one of our team members, who will advise you.

Hartfield gates are priced as pairs.

Hartfield Swish Top Gates gates made by Crestala must be stored, treated and cared for properly before and after hanging.

All treated softwood gates are susceptible to natural movement or shaking (cracks in the timber) as the wood expands and contracts during the normal weathering process. This is not considered to be a defect unless it is very severe. Fitting adjustable hinges can help alleviate some of the natural seasonal gate movement.
