Chestnut Pale Rolls

Chestnut Pale rolls can provide an easy-to-erect, rustic-looking barrier.  They are ideal for use as a temporary fence, although if properly supported, they can last for many years.

As Chestnut is a hardwood, these products are untreated. Each roll consists of individual Chestnut Pales fixed with 2 or 3 horizontal rows of galvanised twisted wire. The pales are split along the grain of the timber, so individual pales may vary in size.

There is an approximate 3" (75 mm) gap between pales. Due to its traditional manufacture, this product is made to imperial measurements.

Five-yard rolls of 1.5m and 1.8m high are available on backorder. Please contact our Sales Team for price and availability.

How to Use

Posts are normally spaced at about 2.5m (8 to 9 ft) centres. Once the Chestnut pale has been unrolled it can attached to the posts with staples.

Installation Tips

When used against a hedge or as a temporary barrier, metal fencing pins are a quick alternative support method. These can be banged in through roots much easier than wooden posts. Cable ties can be used to hold the Chestnut pale to the Pins.
