Our range of machined round posts have a smooth surface, making them ideal for use all around the garden or for agricultural use with stock or horses.
We have various lengths and diameters to suit your needs.

All our machined rounds are pointed at one end and chamfered at the other, except for the 150mm diameter and the 1.2m x 100mm, which have chamfered edges at both ends.

Our softwood machined round posts are pressure treated to UC4 standard.

Materials:

Pressure-treated softwood

Smaller diameter posts are banged in using a Maul or Post-rammer, whilst larger diameters are dug in the same as large square posts.

It is worth noting that all treated softwood machined round posts are susceptible to natural movement and shaking (vertical cracks in the wood) as the timber expands and contracts during the normal weathering process. However, these problems do not usually affect the structural integrity of the post and will mostly disappear when colder, moist weather returns.

Most of our round softwood posts are treated using the latest generation preservatives to UC4 standard to maximise their life.
An extra layer of Bitumen protective treatment or wood preservative can be painted on to add additional protection to the post in the ground-level area susceptible to rot.
