Cabin Hooks for holding doors and gates open.

Cabin Hooks can be attached to either wooden posts or brick/concrete walls using the screws provided.
With the gate or door held open in your required position, select and mark the position for the hook mounting plate and retaining keep. The plate position should ideally be adjacent to the vertical shutting stile of the gate, allowing for the length of the Cabin Hook. Mount the Keep onto the gate.

Ideally, fix the “keep” below the hook mounting so the cabin hook rod slopes slightly downwards. This angle makes the cabin hook less likely to come unlatched if strong winds rattle the gate
