The Ashurst gate is ideal for use as a side gate or entrance gate, providing privacy and security for your garden.

For Ashurst gate widths over 1.2m wide, we recommend using a heavy frame gate like the Withyham range. Please contact our Sales Team for more information.

Measuring & Quantity Calculations
  • Measure the width of your gate opening.

If you are unsure about measuring for a gate, please read our blog, Measuring for New Side or Entrance Gates, which guides the measuring process, or speak to a member of our Sales Team.

  • For widths exceeding 1.2m, contact Crestala for a heavy frame gate recommendation.
  • Gate fittings and locks are sold separately and are recommended for proper hanging, stability and security .
Installation Tips
  • Refer to Crestala's help sheet "Measuring for new side or entrance gates" for detailed measuring instructions.
  • Adjustable hinges are recommended to accommodate seasonal movement in the wood.
  • Installation instructions are not included, and if you are unsure, consulting a professional is advised for proper gate installation.
Health & Safety
Health & Safety:
  • Wear gloves and safety glasses when handling the gate due to potential splinters.
  • Be aware of the weight of the gate and ensure you have proper support when lifting or installing it.
Recommended Aftercare
  • Refer to Crestala's "Gate Care Information" sheet for detailed storage, treatment, and care instructions.
  • Following these recommendations will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Ashurst gate.

All treated softwood gates are susceptible to natural movement and slight cracks in the timber as the wood weathers. This is a natural occurrence and not considered a defect unless it is severe
