How to Use

Start at one end of the fence and install the end post. Then, use one of the panels you are fitting to show where the next post should be.

Concrete posts are generally dug into the ground and secured with either a dry mix of ballast and cement (about 7 to 1 mix with no extra water added) rammed up around the post or postmix (follow directions on the bag).
The amount of each required will depend on the size and depth of the hole. Keep the hole diameter reasonably tight around the post; 200 to 250mm (8" to 10") is good. Generally, the hole should be a minimum of 600mm (2') deep for any fence height. For fence heights over 1.5m, we recommend using a longer post and increasing the hole depth to a minimum of 750mm (2' 6").

Installation Tips
  • If the fence line is on a slope, you need to order longer posts so the panels can step down the slope.
  • The panels need to fit snugly between the posts but allow enough clearance for the panels to slide easily up and down the slots.
  • You can fit panel security brackets to stop the panels from being lifted out for extra peace of mind.
  • Concrete Gravel boards are easy to use with slotted posts. This is good for trellis and fence panels as it keeps them off the ground, reducing the risk of the panel bottom rotting prematurely.
