How to Use

Mark wooden posts with a pencil at the required height. Position the cleat on the post so that the gravel board will be under the fencing. Each cleat is attached to the post with two galvanised nails or two exterior-grade wood screws. Pre-drilling the holes in the cleat is best to avoid any chance of the cleat splitting. Screw or nail the gravel board to the cleat. Again, pre-drilling is recommended.
When used with concrete posts, the cleats are bolted through existing holes in the post. There are usually several sets of holes, so check which ones you need to use.

Installation Tips

Pre-drilling holes is worth the effort as it stops the cleats from splitting.
