How to Use

Chestnut strainer posts are suitable for use as end or corner posts for stock fence, post and wire or most types of wire netting.

Use a powered post rammer to knock the posts in at the required spacing (two to three metres), or alternatively, you can dig a hole, as with most other types of larger fence posts. The struts can be notched into the side of the strainer or just cut at an angle with a saw and fixed with a timber screw.

Installation Tips

These posts are not pressure treated as Chestnut is a hardwood. However, the lower portion of our Chestnut strainer posts and struts can be painted with bitumen or a wood preservative to add extra protection and increase the post's life.
