Our square-sawn posts for cleft rails have two or three pairs of mortises to take the rails.

How to Use

The standard cleft rails are 9'6" long, and the sawn softwood posts are set at 9' centres.
Installation Tips

Post and rail posts are not normally concreted. The backfill is rammed up really hard around the post, and this is normally sufficient to hold the post securely. However, if the ground is soft post mix can be added.
